Are there any hidden costs?

All MFIF Rentals prices are fully inclusive. There are no surprise fees, taxes or surcharges. The price you are quoted for your stay is the price you will pay. This includes High-Speed Internet, heating, air-conditioning, gas, water, electric, sheets and towels.
Over two weeks period the price doesn't include utilities (water, gas, internet and electricity), that will be counted separately. The average consumption of all utilities varies depending on usage, number of people and season; it goes from 50 Euro to 150 Euros per month. Top

Do I need to pack my own hairdryer or travel iron?

We provide in all of our properties provide iron, ironing board and hairdryer. If you have additional small appliances (such as curling irons, electric razors and the like) you will need to bring AC adaptors for the 220 volt current. European adaptors can be purchased at Radio Shack or similar retailer.

What sort of facilities can we expect?

Facilities vary, but all our apartments have TV, washing machine, WI FI fast internet connection and are supplied with fresh linens and towels. Kitchens are equipped with gas stove and oven, a range of utensils, crockery, cutlery and appliances, like MOKA Italian coffee maker. Often you will find dish washer and microwave.Top

Are all your apartments centrally located and accessible via public transportation?

Yes. All MFIF Rentals apartments are located in central Florence and thus very near to tourist attraction and business centers. Being in the center of Florence means that your apartment will be within walking distance to many of the major monuments or a short bus ride away.

How safe are the neighborhoods around my rental?

The neighborhoods surrounding our apartments are among the safest in Florence. We want you to feel comfortable taking evening strolls, and walking on your own. Our apartments are only in the safest Florence neighborhoods.(we should probably add that Florence is overall a very safe City)Top

How about internet connection?
All of our apartments have WIFI internet connection. It is possible to rent an Italian mobile phone upon reservation.

What is the minimum length of stay in your Florence vacation apartments?

Our minimum cost on most rentals is for 3 nights. We consider one and two days rentals, but quotes will change accordingly.

We are traveling with young children; can you provide a crib, stroller or high chair?

Absolutely, we can provide anything you might need to make your youngest guests comfortable for a small fee. Please be sure to ask.

What if I break a piece of furniture during my stay?

If something in the apartment is broken during your stay, you will be required to pay for any repairs or replacements. We are easy people to do business though, so we'll not be so straight if you happen to break a glass!Top

How and where can I collect my keys?

To check you in, we'll need to know a few days before your arrival, what time we should expect you in Florence.
Then you'll call us from the station/airport as soon as you are in Florence, so that we'll be able to come and meet you at the apartment 20 minutes after your phone call.

Is the price shown per person?
All apartments are priced per apartment on a nightly or weekly basis, providing a cost competitive alternative to equivalent standard hotels.Top
Can I view an apartment prior to booking?
You may find the description and pictures of each apartment on our website. In case of long period stays, we will do our best to arrange a visit to some of the available apartments.

Is there parking space either with or close to the apartment?
Driving a car in Florence city centre is not allowed, therefore we strongly discourage the use of a car. If you cannot avoid having a car, you have the choice of letting it in a garage (for example The Verdi Garage that is in Via G. da Verrazzano 9/11 tel. 055 244921) or outside the city center, in free parking areas. Always be aware that entering the city center with a car will get you expensive fines as all access streets are video controlled. Most garages in the city center have an agreement with the police to cancel the fines you would take to get there, but keeping the car there for a whole day is pretty expensive.Top
  How do we book one of your Florence vacation rental apartments?
Please email us to confirm availability when you are ready to book. We will gladly offer advice according to your preferences. We will follow-up with detailed instructions on the next steps. Upon receipt of the deposit we will send all the necessary information: apartment instructions, greeter information and acknowledgement of your payment.

Can we check in/out outside normal hours?
Check in time is between 14.00 and 19.00, check out time is between 9.00 and 13.00. Different times are possible if previously agreed.Top
Do we have to pay a security deposit?
There always is a security deposit to pay upon check in, and you'll get back upon check out after the apartment has been checked. Again, don't worry if you break a glass, nobody will ask you to pay for it!

Cancellation Policy

For cancellation up to 30 days before arrival the deposit can be used for a different reservation, depending on availability.
Any later than this, the deposit will not be refundable.
